ok, i tried to put together a "first day of school" outfit for you here. i love a crisp white top because i feel like there are so many things you can do with it, so i had fun pairing this one with earthier colors. i feel like this outfit is good for the early fall, and there's always the option to layer a brown cardigan or light jacket over it if the weather's more crisp than warm.

i realize that this outfit would be pricey ($122 - ouch!!) if you bought the whole thing new, but I tried to put an outfit together using items similar to things a lot of people might already have in their closet. i love these boots; they've got an adorable, red, exposed zipper up the back. i might have to snag a pair for myself...i am such a sucker for knee-high boots. i also stuck with bracelets because i thought the ruffle down the front provided enough of an accent around the neck (even though i put a necklace on my mannequin today...they don't have arms!!).
what do you think? would you wear this outfit?
